It was a night of firsts for Tyla. Not only did the 22-year-old win her first Grammy, she did so wearing a very daring Versace cut-out dress. Winning in the category of Best African Music Performance award for her song “Water,” the singer took home the golden gramaphone, while clearly Versace stayed through to her noughties flair.
Evoking Y2k energy, her part gauzy dress featured sheer pistachio-colored fabric with a low-slung waist and draped detailing that created a sectioned free flowing skirt. With the help of makeup artist, Pat McGrath, Tyla went with an ultranatual glow makup that paired perfectly with her coily hair.
At the after-parties, Tyla turned into the ultimate party girl. Under a fur coat, she opted for a coquette brallette and heavily embellished acid wash pants (that revealed her silver bellybutton ring) from Acne Studios SS24 collection worn with silver pumps,. Commiting to the look, the singer was adorned with accessories including layerr of pearl and chain necklace.
