Numerous A-listers, including Mr Eazi, Richard Mofe-Damijo RMD, Mi Abaga, Ogwa Iweze, Ali Halawi, KJ of Lagos, Enyinna Nwigwe, and O. Salami made their way to the iconic grounds of Glenfiddich landmark, where the most prestigious single malt whiskey in the world’s lengthy history began.
The Glenfiddich Distillery was established in 1886 by William Grant in the Scottish town of Dufftown. It produces single-malt whiskey and gets its name from the Scottish Gaelic phrase “valley of the deer.” After their arrival at Aberdeen International Airport, the elite group was treated to an exquisite dinner and then given a grand distillery tour the following day.
It’s fun to know that the Glenfiddich distillery, run by the fifth generation of the Grant-Gordon family, is one of Scotland’s few remaining family-owned and operated distilleries. It was the first Scottish distillery to export and market its whisky as a single malt, initially referred to as “Straight Malt” and “Pure Malt.”
Then came archer and clay pigeon shooting, a sport involving firearms shooting at clay targets, flying targets, or clay pigeons. The guest were then treated to a gourmet dinner fully dressed in the traditional Scottish Highland dress.
The attires featured tartan kilts, dinner jackets for the men while the ladies opted for minimalist dresses.
