While it may be too soon to ask for a new album from the international afrobeats star Rema, the 2024 BRITS Awards stayed true to form. Not too long ago, his song “Calm Down” (which saw him win a VMA) featured a teddy bear as its album cover, and now it was a life-depicted art moment at the awards.

Rema wore a varsity jacket from KENZO Fall-Winter 2024 Women’s and Men’s Collection by Artistic Director Nigo. The KENZO Fall-Winter 2024 Collection itself explored cross-cultural exchange and Japanese tradition, incorporating elements of sci-fi uniforms.

The rest of the outfit included cargo pants, LOUIS VUITTON Spring/Summer 2024 Bear Paw Boots, ushanka hat and an array of gold necklaces and rings.

Speaking on his performance (as the first African to achieve this fit), he said, “I am honored to be returning to The O2 to perform at the BRIT Awards this year. In 2023, Rema performed in 25 European countries and numerous US states, including his biggest concert at the O2 Arena. He became the first African artist to have a billion streaming songs on Spotify, won the first ‘Best Afrobeats’ award at MTV VMAs, and is now the longest-charting African artist in the Billboard Top 100.
