Banke Kuku Advocates for Planet With Oceans Collection-A Look Inside

The Queen of prints returned with a collection that combined marine-inspired designs, luxury fashion with sustainability. Fever pitched with a myriad of Banke prints, the event was hosted by the gorgeous Ozinna Anumudu, with the likes of Idia Aisen, Toke Makinwa, Maya Horgan Famodu, Chioma Ikokwu aka Chioma GoodHair, Hilary Taiwo in attendance.

After a refreshing sips of champagne (courtesy of Moët & Chandon), the event began with a warm welcome address by the First Lady of Kwara State, Her Excellency Ambassador Professor Olufolake Abdulrazaq, representing Her Excellency Sen. Remi Tinubu, the First Lady of Nigeria. She commended Banke Kuku for her commitment to promoting sustainable practices in the fashion industry and for showcasing Nigeria on the global stage through her African contemporary prints, particularly the Unity Fabric.

Mikano Motors provided exclusive car rides for top celebrities, including Toke Makinwa and Kenechukwu, to add luxury and class to the event, ensuring a stylish arrival.

The Oceans collection itself was a stunning display of prints that drew inspiration from the rich hues and serene beauty of the ocean. Banke Kuku expertly blended bold prints and flowing silhouettes in her signature style, creating a collection that exuded elegance. Each piece showcased Banke Kuku’s dedication to sustainable fashion, proving that high fashion can also be environmentally conscious.

The glamorous event continued with MAC Cosmetics creating ocean-inspired makeup looks on the models, perfectly complementing the theme of the collection. The models were adorned with exquisite sustainable diamond jewelry from Meeyas Jewels, adding a touch of luxury to the overall look. The collaboration of fashion, beauty, and jewelry truly brought the collection to life, showcasing the beauty and creativity of the ocean-inspired pieces.
