This week Tyla instagrammed series of pictures that saw her in capri pants and crop top that screamed noughthies fashion. Think 2005 Rihanna or sex and city’s Carrie bradshaw, they simultaneously included the duo in their daily wardrobe.
In fact, last year saw the resurgence of the capri pants with Lyst reporting a 41% increase for “capri pants” over the past three months. Capri pants, named after the Italian Island of Capri, gained popularity in the 1950s and 1960s due to Audrey Hepburn’s ballet-inspired aesthetic. The 1980s saw fashion embrace the length, with celebrities like Princess Diana and Disney child stars showcasing their style.
Tyla decided to pair her denim capri pants with another early 00s trend – the concho belt. Other accessories included a cute pomeranian puppy and square framed glasses.
