Yemi Alade has a lifetime of stunning fashion pieces to her name, whether she’s on stage or off duty. So it’s no surprise that she opted for metallic look for the Trace 2023 Awards.
For the event, Alade wore an ethereal piece that consisted of an off-the-shoulder silhouette that was cinched at the waist, resulting in a draping detail. The custom piece also had sculptural sleeves that framed her shoulders and a very daring slit.
The afro-pop star completed the look with a pair of silver strappy sandals and an array of jewelry, including gold cuff bracelets, multiple emarald stone rings, and a pair of statement earrings. As for her glam, she wore her hair in an afro puff mohawk style, paired with simple makeup and a frosty nude lip.
The African Queen later went on that night to win the Trace Award for Best Music Video Award with ‘Baddie’.
