Lagos City never sleeps, and this week has been on lockdown. This time Mo Abudu and her company Ebony held a private screening party to celebrate the release of her two movies, “Her Perfect Life” and “Iyawo Mi (My Wife).” With mental health at the forefront, Her Perfect Life depicts a woman (Onajite Johnson-Ibrahim) who seems to have it all on the outside but lives with a dreaded secret that tears her apart. Iyawo Mi revolves around Kunle, who faces heart-throbbing challenges when his wife (Eniola) descends into madness.
Set at the Ebony Life Place – a luxious entertainment and lifestyle resort in Victoria Island, guests were ushered into a pink lush romantic garden. The event space was transformed for the evening, with gold decor, flarge bottles of Moet And Chandon, and a soft-lit candles—outside was a pool that was reimaginedd to give a magical beach scenery with soft leaves and petals.
Aside from the woman of the hour (Mo Abudu herself) there were a number of other A-listers in attendance–Shaffy Bello and Toke Makinwa, Adesua Etomi-Wellington, Sharon Ooja, Akah Nnani, Claire Nnani, Dakorea, and Sheggz, to name a few.
After the movie, dinner was served as everyone seemed to be having fun and driking glasses of wine and champagne.
