Kendall Jenner wore a short dress with a colorful sketch design by Heaven by Marc Jacobs while out and about in Los Angeles for a birthday celebration. The curve-skimming slip was coupled with a pair of Dorateymur croc-embossed leather boots, rather than a strappy or kitten heel. A minimalist Acne shoulder bag sat on her arm. Aside from the bag and boots, Jenner’s choice of a modest white tank top by Bassike as a layer beneath her dress was the true show-stopper.
This was a unique twist on the white tank top, or more accurately, supermodels’ tried-and-true secret weapon. Bella and Gigi Hadid, as well as Kendall Jenner, have all worn the simple white tank with jeans or trousers in the past. (Along with Claudia Schiffer and Cindy Crawford, among others from the 1990s.) However, Jenner’s unconventional layering of the tank under a dress with ready-to-snap flossy straps is a fantastic accent to the otherwise barely-there combination. The white tank top provides a stylish counterpoint to the little slip and sturdy boots.
